About

Hypno5e is a French avant-garde metal band from Montpellier, active since 2003 and signed to Pelagic Records. Built around vocalist and guitarist Emmanuel Jessua, the group blends crushing post-metal riffs with acoustic passages, cinematic samples, and lyrics in French, English, and Spanish. Each album forms part of an ambitious conceptual arc - often tied to short films - drawing on literature, philosophy, and Jessua's personal history in South America. Their seventh album, Trame Noire, is due November 2026.
