J.B.O. (James Blast Orchester) is a comedy heavy metal band from Erlangen, Bavaria, founded in 1989 by guitarists and vocalists Vito C. and Hannes "G. Laber" Holzmann. The name was originally a parody of the easy-listening James Last Orchestra, and was shortened to J.B.O. in 1996 after a legal dispute with James Last. Over 15 studio albums, the band has built a loyal following across the German-speaking world with satirical German-language lyrics, heavy metal parodies of well-known songs, and sharp social commentary wrapped in Franconian humor.
