Jazzrausch Bigband is a Munich-based ensemble founded in 2014 by trombonist Roman Sladek and fellow students from the Munich University of Music and Theatre. The group made history as the world's first big band to hold a residency at a techno club - Munich's Harry Klein - and has since built a reputation for fusing jazz, electronic dance music and classical influences into high-energy live shows. Led artistically by guitarist and composer Leonhard Kuhn, the band plays around 80 concerts a year across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, and has performed at venues ranging from New York's Lincoln Center to the Munich Philharmonic Hall.
