Johannes Strate (born 1980 in Bremen) is the vocalist and frontman of the Hamburg pop-rock band Revolverheld, which he co-founded in 2003 and has led through eight studio albums and over 1,000 concerts. The band built a loyal following in German-speaking countries with chart hits like "Halt dich an mir fest" and "Ich lass für dich das Licht an", and their 2015 MTV Unplugged release became a career high point. Alongside his work with Revolverheld, Strate has collaborated with classical pianist Sebastian Knauer on the cross-genre project "Klassik meets Pop".
Strate performed the final dates of Revolverheld's '20 Jahre Tour' on crutches after suffering a stress fracture in his foot, with shows in Stuttgart and Cologne going ahead as planned.
