Joyce (full name Joyce Moreno) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter rooted in bossa nova and MPB. Antonio Carlos Jobim singled her out as one of the most gifted voices of her generation when she was still a teenager. Over a career spanning decades she has released more than 30 albums and worked with musicians including Herbie Hancock. Her songs, frequently censored under Brazil's military dictatorship, engaged with themes of identity and women's freedom.
