Julia Franck

About

Julia Franck is a German novelist who made her debut in 1997 with Der neue Koch. Her 2007 novel Die Mittagsfrau became an international bestseller and cemented her reputation. She received the Schiller Prize in 2022. Her more recent book Ich ertrinke in den Wassern meiner eigenen Liebe explores the relationship between the painter Baladine Klossowska and Rainer Maria Rilke.
