Jupiter Jones is a German indie rock band from the Eifel region, founded in 2002 and named after the detective from the Three Investigators series. The band broke through nationally with the 2011 single "Still" - triple gold, an Echo Pop award, and the most-played German-language song on German radio that year. After disbanding in 2018, singer Nicholas Müller and guitarist Sascha Eigner relaunched the project as a duo in 2021, releasing the crowdfunded album "Die Sonne ist ein Zwergstern" (#3 in Germany) in 2022.
Jupiter Jones released the single "Wo diese Liebe hinfällt (Krater)" on 5 June 2026, the first preview of the upcoming album.
The band announced their eighth studio album "Ich trag den Sarg, Du trägst was Buntes" and a 14-date German autumn tour, with the album set for release on 7 August 2026.
The album release show is scheduled for 7 August 2026 in Saarlouis, followed by a 14-concert tour across Germany from September to October 2026.
The crowdfunded comeback album "Die Sonne ist ein Zwergstern" was released on 30 December 2022, reaching #3 in Germany.
Jupiter Jones officially reunited in January 2021 as a duo of Nicholas Müller and Sascha Eigner, releasing the comeback single "Überall waren Schatten" on 29 January 2021.
