Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa (Warsaw Village Band) is a Warsaw-based folk ensemble founded in 1997, known for weaving Mazovian traditional music - mazurkas, obereks, archaic "white voice" singing - with dub, electronica and hip-hop. Their 2004 album Wykorzenienie (Uprooting) won the BBC Radio 3 World Music Award for Best Newcomer, and the band has since collected multiple Polish Fryderyk prizes while touring across five continents.
