Karl Valentin (1882–1948) was a German comedian, cabaret performer and film actor from Munich. He was known for his absurdist humour and wordplay, which influenced generations of German comedians. His best-known work is the cabaret sketch Orchestral Rehearsal (Orchesterprobe).
