British-Georgian singer Katie Melua takes the stage at the Zelt-Musik-Festival.
Katie Melua (born Ketevan Melua, 16 September 1984 in Kutaisi, Georgia) is a British-Georgian singer-songwriter who grew up in Belfast and London after moving to the UK at age eight. She debuted in 2003 with 'Call Off the Search', which topped the UK Albums Chart, and within three years had become the best-selling female artist in both the UK and Europe. Across nine studio albums blending pop, jazz and folk, she has sold over 11 million records and earned more than 56 platinum certifications worldwide.
Katie Melua is currently on a European summer tour spanning 7 countries, with 15 upcoming concerts including stops in London, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Munich, Trier, Leipzig and Gelsenkirchen.
Melua is scheduled to perform at the Amphitheater Trier open-air on 18 July 2026 and at the Parkbühne Leipzig on 19 July 2026.
Melua received the European Culture Prize in 2021 for her collaborative work with the Gori Women's Choir.
Her ninth studio album 'Love & Money', produced by Leo Abrahams and recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios while Melua was pregnant, was released on 24 March 2023 via BMG.
Melua released the collaborative ambient project 'Aerial Objects' with violinist Simon Goff in 2022, which received a perfect 100 user score on Album of the Year.
