Description was written before the event

On Thursday, 27 August 2026, Katie Melua will perform for the first time as part of SommerMusik Schloss Rheydt in Mönchengladbach. Organiser Günter vom Dorp announced the concert to mark the anniversary of SommerMusik.

Katie Melua moved with her family from Georgia to Belfast at the age of nine. In 2003, aged 19, she released her debut album Call Off the Search - the start of a long career that brought her international chart success with songs like Nine Million Bicycles (2005).

Her repertoire spans pop, rock, blues, folk and jazz, and her discography reflects that stylistic range.
