Khalid (born Khalid Donnel Robinson, February 11, 1998, Fort Stewart, Georgia) is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter who grew up on military bases across the US and Germany before settling in El Paso, Texas. He broke through in 2016 with the debut single "Location", recorded just after high school, and followed it with the critically acclaimed album American Teen (2017) - one of the biggest debut albums of the late 2010s. His second album Free Spirit (2019) debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and he has earned seven Grammy nominations across a career that spans collaborations with Billie Eilish, Halsey, Ed Sheeran, and Normani. His fourth studio album After the Sun Goes Down arrived in October 2025.
