Kraftwerk
Iconic German electronic group Kraftwerk performs at the lakeside stage in Bregenz.
Kraftwerk is a German electronic band founded in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. Their albums Autobahn (1974), Trans-Europe Express (1977) and Computer World (1981) laid the groundwork for techno, synth-pop and hip-hop, making them one of the most widely cited influences in modern music. Today the group - led by Hütter alongside Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz and Falk Grieffenhagen - continues to tour with its signature Multimedia show, combining 3D projections and surround sound into what they call a Gesamtkunstwerk.
Kraftwerk's Multimedia Tour 2026 is currently running across the UK and Ireland, with shows at London's Royal Albert Hall and other major venues - their first full UK tour since 2017.
Kraftwerk added two extra UK dates to the 2026 Multimedia Tour within days of tickets going on sale, citing exceptional demand, with additional nights in Manchester and London.
Kraftwerk performed at Coachella 2025 in Indio, California, as part of a wider North American tour marking 50 years since the breakthrough album Autobahn.
Kraftwerk was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in the early influence category.
The live album 3-D The Catalogue (2017) won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2018 ceremony.
