About

Latter is a Chicago noise rock duo formed in 2022 by sound artist Meredith Haines (MAIR) and drummer Jonathan Alvarado, known from indie-pop band Beach Bunny. Their debut album 'My Body Is My Sickness' (2024) fused post-hardcore, screamo, and noise rock into a raw document of chronic illness and emotional survival, and the single 'I Don't Owe You' went viral on TikTok in early 2025. Drawing on Haines' background in sound art and modern dance, the band's live shows blur the line between noise rock and performance art.
