Leopold Tyrmand (1920–1985) was a Polish writer, journalist, and cultural critic. He is best known for his novel Zły (1955), a dark crime story set in post-war Warsaw that became one of the most popular Polish novels of the 20th century. He later emigrated to the West and worked as a publicist in the United States.
