Loona is the stage name of Dutch singer and dancer Marie-José van der Kolk (born 16 September 1974 in IJmuiden, Netherlands), who built her career in Germany's eurodance scene of the late 1990s. Her 1998 cover of "Bailando" spent eight weeks at number one in Germany and earned her an Echo Award; "Hijo de la Luna" followed it straight to the top of the same chart. She has remained active ever since, releasing new material and collaborating with artists across the European dance scene well into the 2020s.
Loona joined Mark 'Oh, BassWar and CaoX on a new version of Mark 'Oh's 2009 track "Let This Party Never End".
Loona was featured on the single "Konnichiwa" by Sammy & Lesen and No Feels.
Loona, Sammy & Lesen and D.Mand released a eurodance version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
After releasing a Spanish cover of Joost's Eurovision song "Europapa", Loona teamed up with Big Tim on the new track "Everybody Samba".
