Lucienne Renaudin Vary (born 1999 in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire) is a French trumpeter who trained at the Conservatoire du Mans and the Conservatoire de Paris, and released her debut album on Warner Classics at just 18. She moves freely between classical repertoire and jazz, has appeared with orchestras from the Royal Philharmonic to the Warsaw Philharmonic, and has won two Opus Klassik awards - for Young Artist in 2021 and Instrumentalist of the Year in 2025.
Lucienne Renaudin Vary is set to receive the Leonard Bernstein Award from the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, with the prize money doubled to €20,000.
She won the Opus Klassik 2025 Instrumentalist of the Year award for her album Winter Gardens (Jardins d'Hiver), recorded with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris.
In the 2025-26 season she is scheduled to appear with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Philharmonic, and returns to the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
She launched a three-season residency cycle as Junge Wilde at the Konzerthaus Dortmund and won the soloist prize of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival.
Her fifth Warner Classics album Jardins d'Hiver (Winter Gardens), recorded with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris and conductor Sascha Goetzel, was released.
