High Vis & Militarie Gun
Concert with High Vis and Militarie Gun. Two punk-rock bands on one stage in Essen.
Militarie Gun is a Los Angeles-based alternative rock and melodic hardcore band formed in 2020 by vocalist Ian Shelton, initially as a solo project during the COVID-19 lockdowns. The five-piece - rounded out by William Acuña, Kevin Kiley, Waylon Trim, and David Stalsworth - signed to Loma Vista Recordings and broke through with their debut album Life Under the Gun (2023), which blended hardcore aggression with sharp pop hooks. Their 2025 follow-up God Save the Gun pushed the sound further, drawing on 90s indie and post-hardcore influences while Shelton laid bare a period of personal crisis and addiction.
Militarie Gun announced their '20 Songs for 20 Dollars' North American headline tour for fall 2026, with all tickets priced at $20, supported by Softcult, Shady Nasty, and Dazy.
The band is currently on a European headline run including dates in Germany (Köln, Berlin, Scheeßel, Neuhausen Ob Eck, Bremen, Essen), the Czech Republic (Hradec Králové), and other countries.
Militarie Gun released their second album God Save the Gun on October 17, 2025 via Loma Vista Recordings, to widespread critical praise.
The band announced God Save the Gun alongside the single 'B A D I D E A', which had been premiered live on an Australian tour with Touché Amoré in July 2025.
Militarie Gun collaborated with Dazy on the single 'Tall People Don't Live Long', released April 18, 2025.
