Nathan Evans (born 19 December 1994, Airdrie, Scotland) is a Scottish folk-pop singer-songwriter who shot to global fame in late 2020 when his a cappella TikTok cover of the sea shanty "Wellerman" went viral, sparking a worldwide shanty trend. The 220 KID x Billen Ted remix reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart and topped charts in 11 European countries, earning Evans a BRIT Award nomination and a deal with Polydor/Universal. His second album, 1994 (2024), debuted at #1 in Scotland, and in January 2026 he released the collaborative album Angels' Share with Scottish rock duo Saint Phnx.
Nathan Evans and Saint Phnx released the acoustic Last Orders EP on 20 March 2026, featuring stripped-back versions of tracks from Angels' Share.
Nathan Evans and Saint Phnx released their debut collaborative album Angels' Share via Universal on 16 January 2026, kicking off a world tour that started in Los Angeles on 18 February.
To mark the album launch, the band performed a surprise acoustic pop-up in Glasgow city centre and announced a family-focused Heather on the Hill Festival at Edinburgh's Royal Highland Centre on 22 August 2026.
