Peter Heppner (born 7 September 1967 in Hamburg) is a German vocalist and songwriter who rose to prominence as the frontman of the synthpop duo Wolfsheim, which he co-founded in 1987 and which became one of the most influential acts in German dark wave and electronic music. After Wolfsheim went on hiatus in 2004, he built a solo career spanning albums such as Solo (2008), My Heart of Stone (2012) and Confessions & Doubts (2018), while also lending his distinctive baritone to collaborations with Schiller, Paul van Dyk and Joachim Witt. A two-time Echo Award winner, he remains one of the most recognisable voices in German-language electronic music.
Heppner announced that his new album 'Am Leben' is on track for a 2026 release, stating the recording was nearing completion by end of 2025.
Heppner completed the 'Am Leben / Alive Pre-Listening Tour' across twelve German cities in April 2025, previewing new material live before the album's release.
During the Pre-Listening Tour, Heppner debuted new songs including 'Dreams at Stake', 'Eine and're Zeit' and 'Hurt People Hurt People' from the forthcoming album.
A second leg of the Pre-Listening Tour took place in December 2025, with dates in Gießen, Glauchau and Potsdam.
A Germany-wide autumn 2026 tour is announced, with dates including Erfurt, Hamburg, Bochum, Mannheim and Munich.
