About

Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist art collective founded in Moscow in 2011, known for guerrilla performances in public spaces filmed as music videos. Their 2012 "punk prayer" inside the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour - a protest against the Kremlin and the Orthodox Church - led to the imprisonment of three members and turned the group into a global symbol of political resistance. Since 2017, the collective has toured internationally with the multimedia show "Riot Days", blending concert, theatre and political happening; the show has given over 200 performances across Europe, North America, Australia and beyond.
