Description was written before the event

Riot Days is a multimedia performance based on the memoirs of Maria Alyokhina from Pussy Riot. The project combines live music, spoken word, video, and performance art to tell the story of the group's activism and Alyokhina's experiences in a Russian prison following the 2012 protest.

The 2025 show expands the programme with new themes: persecution and violence against the LGBTQ+ community, the story of Alexei Navalny, and Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

About: Pussy Riot

Born out of Moscow's underground in 2011, Pussy Riot turned guerrilla protest art into a worldwide cause - most visibly after the 2012 cathedral action that sent three members to prison. Their live show "Riot Days" has since crossed continents, mixing raw punk energy with theatre and video to tell the story of resistance from inside Russia's penal system.
