About

Sascha Funke is a Berlin-born DJ and producer who grew up in East Berlin's Lichtenberg district and began making music in the late 1990s alongside Paul Kalkbrenner. His debut EP Campus (1999) was among Kompakt's earliest releases, and he went on to release three solo albums - Bravo (2003) and Mango (2008) on Ellen Allien's BPitch Control, and Lotos Land (2017) on Tokyo's Endless Flight - while his tracks appeared on the Berlin Calling film soundtrack. Rooted in minimal techno and house, his sound has expanded over the years to take in Krautrock, synth-wave and post-punk, and his DJ sets regularly feature unreleased material.
