Shida Bazyar is a German author born in 1988 in Hermeskeil. Her fiction explores migration, memory and German society - her debut novel "Nachts ist es leise in Teheran" (2016) was translated into numerous languages. "Drei Kameradinnen" (2021) brought her wider recognition, and her latest book "Die Lücken" digs into the buried history of a fictional German village.
