The Literarisches Colloquium Berlin (LCB) is a renowned literary centre on the shores of the Wannsee, founded in 1963. It hosts readings, author residencies, translation workshops and literary festivals, drawing writers from Germany and abroad. The villa itself - a late 19th-century lakeside building - gives the programme an intimate, retreat-like character quite unlike a conventional city venue.
