Shy FX is the stage name of London-born DJ and producer André Williams (born 1977), a foundational figure in British jungle and drum and bass since his debut in 1992. The grandson of Jamaican sound system pioneer Count Shelly, he broke through with "Original Nuttah" (1994, with UK Apache) - one of the genre's first UK Top 40 hits - and has since built a catalogue that bridges dancehall, grime and ragga with club-floor drum and bass. He runs the Digital Soundboy and Cult.ure labels and continues releasing new music into the 2020s.
Shy FX released "Say Less" featuring IRAH and Mr. Williamz in 2026, continuing his run of dancehall-inflected drum and bass singles.
Shy FX released multiple singles in 2025, including "On My Way" (feat. Children of Zeus), "NOBU", and "Risk It All" (feat. Maverick Sabre, also issued in an acoustic version).
Shy FX released the collaborative EP Rudeboy Design Soundtape with Mr. Williamz in June 2024, blending drum and bass, jungle and reggae across ten tracks.
Shy FX appeared at the Liquicity Festival 2026 (Amsterdam area) and has 9 upcoming concerts across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom announced as of mid-2026.
Shy FX released "Good Morning" in 2023, a drum and bass track featuring Kojey Radical and Nile Rodgers that blends the genre with funk elements.
