Aphrodite (born Gavin King, 28 November 1968, Aberystwyth, Wales) is a British DJ and producer widely regarded as one of the founding figures of jungle and drum and bass. Active since the early 1990s, he helped shape the jump-up style through his own Aphrodite Recordings label and the Urban Takeover imprint he co-runs with Micky Finn. His remix credits span artists from Nine Inch Nails to Alabama 3, and his tracks have featured in films and on festival stages from Glastonbury to Let It Roll.
