Simon & Garfunkel are an American folk-rock duo formed by singer-songwriter Paul Simon and vocalist Art Garfunkel, who grew up three blocks apart in Queens, New York. Active primarily in the 1960s, they sold over 100 million records and placed three singles at number one on the US charts - "The Sound of Silence", "Mrs. Robinson" and "Bridge over Troubled Water". Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, they are ranked among the greatest musical acts of all time by Rolling Stone.
