About
Sofie Royer (born 1991 in California) is a Vienna-based singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist of Austrian-Iranian descent, signed to Stones Throw Records. Classically trained on violin and viola at the Vienna Conservatoire, she later co-founded Boiler Room's West Coast outpost and worked as A&R at Stones Throw before stepping out as a solo artist in 2020. Her four albums - Cult Survivor (2020), Harlequin (2022), Young-Girl Forever (2024) and the forthcoming before/after (September 2026) - blend electro-pop with baroque, chanson and opera influences, earning her praise from The Guardian as one of Europe's most intriguing underrated pop stars.
