About

Stefan Stoppok (born 21 February 1956 in Hamburg) is a German singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music draws on folk, blues and rock - always in German, always with sharp, satirical lyrics. He spent his teens busking across Europe before releasing his debut album in 1982, and has since put out 20 studio records while winning the Deutschen Kleinkunstpreis, the GEMA Musikautorenpreis and the world music prize RUTH. His live shows, whether solo or with his band, are known for spontaneity and dry Ruhrpott wit.
