Suzi Quatro (born Susan Kay Quatrocchio, June 3, 1950, Detroit, Michigan) is an American rock singer, bassist, actress and author who broke through in Britain in 1973 with 'Can the Can' and went on to spend 101 weeks in the UK charts between 1973 and 1980. A genuine pioneer for women in rock, she influenced a generation of female musicians - from The Runaways onward - and has sold over 55 million records across a career now spanning more than six decades.
