Tindersticks are a British band from Nottingham, formed in 1992, whose music weaves orchestral arrangements, chamber pop and soul around the deep baritone of frontman Stuart Staples. Over more than three decades they have released 14 studio albums and built a long-running creative partnership with French filmmaker Claire Denis, scoring several of her films. Their debut album and records such as Curtains and The Hungry Saw earned them a devoted cult following across Europe.
Tindersticks completed their first North American tour in 16 years, with dates in New York, Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
The band played the Royal Albert Hall in London on 17 March 2025, one of several UK dates announced for early 2025.
Tindersticks released their 14th studio album Soft Tissue on 13 September 2024 via City Slang, their first album of original material since 2021.
To support Soft Tissue, the band undertook an extensive European tour in autumn 2024, covering Prague, Vienna, Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg and other cities.
