Tommy Emmanuel (born May 31, 1955, Australia) is an acoustic guitar virtuoso who has been performing for over six decades, known for a fingerpicking technique so complete it turns a single guitar into rhythm, bass and melody at once. One of only five musicians ever awarded the title of Certified Guitar Player (CGP) by Chet Atkins, he has headlined stages from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House and collaborated with Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and Les Paul.
