Varius Manx is a Polish pop-rock band founded in Łódź in 1989 by composer and multi-instrumentalist Robert Janson. After two instrumental albums, the group broke through in 1994 with vocalist Anita Lipnicka - the single "Zanim zrozumiesz" won the Grand Prix at the Sopot Festival and earned two Fryderyk awards. Their greatest commercial peak came with singer Kasia Stankiewicz, whose 1996 collaboration produced the era-defining hit "Orła cień"; the band has sold over two million albums in Poland. Stankiewicz rejoined in 2016 and remains the current vocalist, with the duo continuing to tour Poland extensively.
Varius Manx & Kasia Stankiewicz performed at the Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2025 on 18 August at the Opera Leśna.
An Interia Muzyka feature from June 2025 highlighted Varius Manx as a defining act of the 1990s Polish music scene, revisiting the band's changing vocalists.
The band's "90'/35" tour - celebrating both the 1990s repertoire and the band's 35th anniversary - proved so successful that it was extended through 2024 and into 2025.
A concert in Bielsko-Biała on 28 February 2026 is among the band's most recently listed upcoming dates.
The band released their most recent studio album "Ent" in 2018, which achieved gold record status in Poland.
