Verner Panton (1926-1998) was a Danish architect and designer who left a lasting mark on postwar design. He is best known for the "Panton Chair" - the first single-piece injection-moulded plastic chair - and for his bold, colour-saturated interiors that merged furniture, lighting and space into flowing organic environments. His work drew freely from pop art and psychedelia.
