Wolfgang Torkler is a German pianist based in Dresden since the early 1990s. His music centres on solo improvisation and what he calls instant-composing - composition unfolding in real time. He has released five solo albums and draws on influences ranging from Keith Jarrett to Bach and Rachmaninov.
