About

Young Rebel Set are an indie rock band from Stockton-on-Tees, north-east England, formed in 2007. Their earthy, emotionally direct sound - built on acoustic guitars, brass and raw vocal harmonies - earned them a devoted following in the UK and, above all, in Germany. After going on hiatus in 2015 and losing frontman Matthew Chipchase in December 2019, the surviving founding members regrouped in 2025 with new vocalist Tom Blackwell, releasing the EP 'Sun' and embarking on sold-out German tours.
