Dead or Alive Poetry Slam

At "Dead or Alive Slam", contemporary poets from German-speaking regions compete against deceased literary icons and fictional characters. Living participants bring their own texts - the dead are represented by ensemble members of Schauspielbühnen in Stuttgart, sending their works from the afterlife into the competition.

Moderated by Marius Loy, epochs, styles and temperaments meet this evening: classical literature encounters the present day, traditional verse meets freestyle. In the end, the audience decides who wins this battle of words - Dead or Alive.
