Princess Rosa dreams of freedom, not courtly discipline. Only with her friend Alma, the goose girl, can she truly be herself - but Queen Agatha will not allow any closeness between nobility and servants. When Rosa is to be married off to a distant kingdom, the two take a drastic step: they swap identities. Alma sets off as the supposed princess into a new life, while Rosa, far from court, searches for her own path. The role reversal confronts both of them with choices they never anticipated.

The musical tells this story through live singing, choreography, and songs that range from funny to genuinely moving. It was awarded the German Musical Prize 2024 for best book.
