Save the world? No problem for Don Quixote, the megalomaniacal martyr who, as the "Knight of the Sorrowful Countenance," battles windmills and supposed barbarians, driving his loyal companion Sancho Panza to despair. Has the man for whom Sancho abandoned home and hearth completely lost his mind?

Torn between doubt, loyalty, and utter exhaustion, Sancho decides to end the adventures and return home defeated. But then he realizes that Don Quixote's madness is merely a facade...

Peter Jordan uses Cervantes' characters for rapid-fire slapstick and parodies the revolutionary fervor of idealistic world-improvers through the means of burlesque. In quick succession, the four-member ensemble embodies not only Don Quixote and Sancho, but also their talking animals, noble ladies, overwhelmed state officials, and the Spanish king. A tribute to the magic of theatre under a hot Spanish sun.
