"...worin noch niemand war" - A Home Evening
Lindenhalle, Ehingen, Germany
18 €
"So something arises in the world that seems to everyone like childhood and in which no one has yet been: Heimat" - these words from Ernst Bloch's Das Prinzip Hoffnung, written over 60 years ago, open an evening devoted to precisely this question: What is Heimat? What do we mean when we speak of it? Who has the right to speak of it - and who perhaps cannot even be there?
Dramatist Jörn Klare (Vom Wert des Leberkäsweckles) travelled across the entire "Ländle", along its borders and beyond. He met people who have always lived here or only passed through, who want to leave as quickly as possible or have no home anywhere - willingly or not. He weaves their stories into a polyphonic theatre evening that tells of Heimat in times of nationalism and rightward shift in a completely different way. A production by Staatstheater Tübingen.
"A magnificent, moving theatre evening." - Lu Grundmann, Augsburger Allgemeine, 21.10.2025
