The Limburg monastery ruins are steeped in legend: it all supposedly began with a powerful Celtic princess, the founders belonged to the most influential noble dynasty of their era, one myth links Limburg to Speyer Cathedral, a world-famous treasure is said to have been kept here - and even the rules for celebrating Christmas were once laid down on this site. This guided tour traces all these mysteries and sheds light on one of the most significant monastic complexes in Europe from the era of the Salian dynasty.
Construction work will be taking place on the site from January to December 2026; some areas may be restricted during tours.
