A lame duck meets a blind hen. In a backyard corner, two figures encounter each other - one gloomy, the other sunshine incarnate - and together they set out on a journey. In search of the place where their greatest wish will come true, they traverse the darkest forest, overcome a bottomless chasm, and climb the highest mountain. And at the end of their adventure, they discover a secret.

For his two animal antiheroes, author Ulrich Hub has written an enchanting story of friendship and, at the same time, a vivid testament to the power of imagination.

ULRICH HUB (born 1963) studied acting and worked for several years at various theatres before turning to directing and writing plays and children's books. In Aalen, his play "Eight O'Clock on the Ark" was performed in 2015. The award-winning author lives in Berlin.
