Heimsuchung - Based on the Century Novel by Jenny Erpenbeck

Across eleven chapters, Jenny Erpenbeck weaves together the fates of individuals who seek a home on a plot of land by Lake Scharmützelsee in Brandenburg - from the Weimar Republic through National Socialism and the GDR to German reunification. Each character brings a distinct perspective on the world, shaped by the social pressures of their era. Through all these periods, a gardener watches over the property and quietly goes about his work.
