Das Fräulein Wunder - A Musical Comedy by Murat Yeginer

Late 1940s: three women want to make their dream come true - to perform a concert before the Queen at Buckingham Palace. The path to this goal leads through a singing competition, which can only be won if Fräulein Wunder participates. At an audition, Rosa (a substitute German teacher), Käthe (a seamstress with opera training), and Hilde (a milkmaid and yodeler) meet. A women's band is to be formed - so wishes Captain John McGintley, the organizer of the "Anglo-German-Swing Festival". A major challenge, especially for three such different "German Frolleins".

Murat Yeginer tells this story with a wink: humorous, yet also melancholic and touching, accompanied by numerous songs from the 1930s and 1940s.

Murat Yeginer was born in 1959 in Turkey, grew up in Munich and Hamburg, and works as an actor, director, and author. He was artistic director at the Pforzheim Theatre and until 2023 was artistic director at the Ohnsorg-Theater in Hamburg.
