Flower girl Eliza Doolittle catches the eye of phonetics professor Henry Higgins on the street - her coarse dialect is impossible to ignore. He makes a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering: within six months, he will use speech training to turn the "gutter plant" Eliza into a proper lady of society. Eliza takes up the challenge and dares to step into high society. After a rocky start, the experiment seems to be working - until love gets in the way...
