Stubnblues 2.0 — Schloss Triebenbach, Laufen

Multi-voiced, dynamic, and collective - Stubnblues 2.0 presents itself both live and on their second album "Doch." in fresh sonic colors. The new line-up with Bina Blumencron (vocals), Marlene Lacherstorfer (bass), Stefan Schubert (vocals and guitars), Markus Marageter (piano and Hammond organ), Hubert Hofherr (harmonica and vocals), and Camillo Jenny (percussion) has proven successful - the band manages to preserve what works while introducing new accents. Their debut album "Wo da Rauch hiziagt..." in this new formation, through which the band attempted to process musically the untimely death of Willi Resetarits, earned a nomination for the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2025.

With "Doch." Stubnblues 2.0 continues forward without forgetting. Between lightness and melancholy, the new songs tell of leaving and staying, of chosen solitude and missed togetherness, of yearning to be understood and the attempt to understand oneself. Small stories about the absurdities of everyday life - somehow the same for everyone yet entirely different - oscillate between longing and reality. Paired with dialect poetry, the band focuses musically as never before on its distinctive, rhythmic sound.

The work was created between Salzburg and Trieste, where "conductor" Stefan Schubert not only refined his own compositions but also wove the contributions of other band members into a cohesive whole. Live in 2026, expect the loud and quiet notes of life as new works meet familiar classics. Because nothing stays as it was.
