Film description:
Young Michael Jackson (Juliano Krue Valdi), the eighth of ten children, is groomed early for a music career under the strict guidance of his father Joe (Colman Domingo). With the family band Jackson Five he scores his first hits; by 13 he has already launched a solo career. Music continues to dominate his life into adulthood (Jaafar Jackson). In the late 1970s, during film work, he meets Diana Ross (Kat Graham) and producer Quincy Jones (Kendrick Sampson) - an encounter that fundamentally reshapes his musical direction. The Jones-produced album "Off the Wall" (1979) is a major success, later surpassed by "Thriller" in 1982. Alongside this rise comes a break with his father Joe, whom Jackson dismisses as manager and replaces with attorney John Branca (Miles Teller).
