Concert I

Concert I takes place on Sunday, 30 August 2026 at 18:00 in Nikolaikirche, Kiel. Mahela Reichstatt, Magne Draagen, and Volkmar Zehner perform major organ works by Mendelssohn, Bach, and Messiaen on the church's recently restored instruments. Nikolaikirche is a Gothic brick church from the 14th century, the oldest surviving church in the city, and houses a medieval bronze baptismal font. The concert serves as preparation for a performance of "Elijah" on 4 October. Admission: 12 €.
