About: KMRU

Berlin-based Kenyan sound artist KMRU - real name Joseph Kamaru - builds his sets from field recordings, electromagnetic captures, and layered electronics, turning the textures of everyday environments into immersive sonic worlds. His output since 2020 has been relentless: solo albums, collaborations with artists like Aho Ssan and The Bug, and a growing presence at major European festivals.

About the venue: MS STUBNITZ

MS Stubnitz is a former East German refrigerated cargo ship, built in 1964, now permanently moored in Hamburg's harbour and used as a floating cultural venue. It hosts electronic music events, concerts, club nights, art exhibitions, and film screenings. The ship is known for its industrial atmosphere and has been a fixture of Hamburg's alternative cultural scene since the 1990s.
